About — Debra Lowe, Founder

Both hands
on the pulse.

I am not a call center. I am not a referral handoff. I am a solo advisor with both hands on the pulse — for the best overall betterment of my clients. Every family I work with gets my full attention, my full expertise, and my full presence through every step.

I carry two credentials no other advisor on the Central Coast holds together — State-Certified RCFE Administrator and Senior Real Estate Specialist. That means you never have to start over with someone new when the conversation shifts from care to home, or from home to care.

San Luis Obispo County is not a market to me. It is where I work, where I live, and where I have built the relationships that make a real difference for the families I serve.

I guide you.

I personally walk families through care options and — when the time comes — the home transition. I've built relationships with the people in those rooms, and I will be right there with you.

The Framework

Most professionals operate
within a single pillar.

The greatest value is created by coordinating across all eight. Families benefit most from a structured, guided approach that aligns housing, financial, legal, and care decisions into one cohesive strategy — with one advisor holding the whole picture.

i.
Housing & Real Estate Transition
Timing the home sale to support the care move — not the other way around.
ii.
Senior Living Options
Understanding the full care continuum — from in-home support to memory care.
iii.
Funding & Financial Strategy
Bridge loans, reverse mortgages, long-term care insurance — knowing what fits.
iv.
Legal & Estate Planning
Trust coordination, successor trustee decisions, and conservatorship navigation.
v.
Care Coordination
Connecting families with the right clinical and community care professionals.
vi.
Home Preparation & Transition
Decluttering, move management, and staging a home that has held a lifetime.
vii.
Family Dynamics & Decision Support
Helping families navigate disagreement, distance, and the weight of hard decisions.
viii.
Strategic Advisory & Coordination
Holding the full picture — so nothing falls through and no one has to start over.

"Here, no pillar is left unattended. Every decision connects to the next — and I am with you through all of them."

A simple, unhurried process.

No intake forms. No call center. Just a conversation, and as much time as you need.

i.
We talk.
No cost, no pressure. Usually about an hour, in person at a quiet spot — or by phone, if that's easier. I listen first. We figure out what you actually need.
ii.
I tour with you.
I personally accompany families to the communities that fit. I know the directors, the staff, and the honest picture of each facility. You will see things you would not see on your own.
iii.
You decide, on your timeline.
No fees to families, ever. The community covers a placement fee when the fit is right. Until then — and long after — I am a phone call away.

Every family I take on receives my direct attention — not a team member, not a system, not a referral handoff. I hold a State-Certified RCFE Administrator credential — the same credential required to operate a licensed residential care facility. When your family's situation touches both care and housing, you are not starting over with someone new. You are still talking to me.

Five Pathways.

Pathway 01
Senior Placement
Finding the right RCFE, assisted living, or memory care community — personally, locally, at no cost to families.
Pathway 02
Home Transition
Rightsizing from the family home with an advisor who understands the emotional weight of this season of life.
Pathway 03
RCFE Brokerage
Buying or selling a licensed residential care facility — I understand both the operational and transactional sides equally.
Pathway 04
Family Advocacy
Navigating the system alongside families when decisions must happen quickly, clearly, and with someone in their corner.
Pathway 05
The Society — Professional Ecosystem
A curated inner circle of trusted advisors, specialists, and referral partners — estate attorneys, fiduciaries, move managers, and care professionals serving seniors and families on the Central Coast.
A Note on Real Estate
Financing Forward Living

For many families, the home is the asset that makes the next chapter possible. If selling the family home is part of your plan, that option is available through this same relationship — quietly, without pressure, and only when the time is right for you. You will never be handed off. The conversation simply continues.

From the families
I've worked with.

"Debra was a tremendous help during one of the most difficult seasons our family has faced. She knew exactly which communities to consider and never once made us feel rushed."

Central Coast Family · Assisted Living Placement

"We didn't know where to start. Debra walked us through everything — the care options, the costs, the timing. She was the advisor we didn't know we needed."
